This role supports the sales organization as we work to become a best-in-class Building Materials company.
With the strong growth that Bluelinx has had over the past two years, we realize that our pricing team can be a driving force within our strategic growth initiatives.
This role will be working with the central region branches and the Central Region leadership to put our salespeople in a position to be successful and drive profitable growth.
This role could be based in our corporate office OR virtual.
Compensation is between $89,000 - $130,00 with an annual bonus.

Responsibilities Supports the company's margin and pricing strategic plans/profitability goals.
Looks for consistency between the sales and pricing strategies.
Establishes pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
Prepare analysis for discretionary-priced customers and analysis of current contract customers for review to suggest pricing strategies.
Recommend changes for optimal margin enhancement.
Designs and performs timely price analyses and develops high-impact pricing tools, templates, and models.
Conduct pricing reviews for the business units served.
Prepare sales data reports to identify profit opportunities.
Compile documentation to support the impact of price and market changes.
Understand all pricing programs and ensure their accurate, consistent implementation.
Enter, maintain, and update the system pricing in a timely fashion.
Assist with standardizing operating procedures for various pricing functions.
Troubleshoot pricing anomalies and inconsistencies.
Question low margin or errors from Sales on margin tool.
Communicate with Sales Managers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant pricing procedures and practices.
Provides training for all pricing systems for the business units served
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
MBA preferred.
3 plus years of experience in related pricing experience with aligned responsibilities.
OR 2
years with a master's degree Background in quantitative statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
Understanding of economics, the ideal application of principles of economics to commodity markets.
Must possess strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Must be able to work well under pressure and effectively balance multiple and rapidly shifting priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate clear communication of results within the sales organization.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
