Master Data Governance Leader Marietta GA (4 Days onsite a week) Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the data governance strategy and roadmap for the organization.
Establish and manage data governance framework, policies, procedures, and standards for the master data.
Define and monitor the data governance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and maturity of the data governance program.
Establish and chair the data governance council, which is composed of senior representatives from the key data domains and functions.
Promote data governance awareness and education across the organization and foster a data-driven culture.
Identify and resolve data governance issues and escalate them as needed.
Define and assign the data governance roles and responsibilities, such as data owners, data stewards, data custodians, and data users, and ensure their accountability and performance.
Define and implement the data governance processes, such as data quality assessment, data quality improvement, data issue management, data change management, data access management, and data audit and compliance.
Define and enforce the data governance policies, such as data quality policy, data security policy, data privacy policy, data retention policy, and data ethics policy.
Conduct data governance training and awareness sessions for the data governance team and the data community.
Identify and manage the data governance risks and issues and escalate them as needed.
Collaborate with the IT, business, and other functions to ensure the alignment and integration of the data governance program with the business strategy, processes, and systems.
Evaluate and recommend data governance technologies to support the data governance program.
Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in data governance and master data management and incorporate them into the data governance program as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field 10
years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, data security, data privacy, or related field 5
years of experience in leading and managing data governance programs and teams.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Strong knowledge and experience in master data management, data quality management, data security management, data privacy management, data lifecycle management, and data ethics management.
Proficient in data governance tools and technologies, such as data governance platforms, data quality tools, data catalog tools, data lineage tools, data security tools, data privacy tools, and data analytics tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization and stakeholders.
Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills to lead and motivate the data governance team and drive the data governance program.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to identify and resolve data governance issues and challenges.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills to align the data governance program with the business objectives and priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and prioritize them effectively.
Ability to adapt to changing business and data needs and requirements.
Certification in data governance, data management, data quality, data security, data privacy, or related field is preferred.
