This position works all aspects of a warehouse including but not limited to:
unload 40' containers, move inventory to the correct shelving location, pack and ship outgoing customer orders, and work with all carriers.
You must be meticulous and ensure each order is picked accurately and packed to ship safely.
Packing furniture experience is a huge plus especially in today's volume of shipments and the need for extra care due to the volume going through the carriers.
Damages have significantly increased and we need an expert packer who has best practice experience in securing large items while in transit.
This position is the gateway to our customer and must also inspect every item coming in and going out to ensure best quality always, working with the operations and office team to deliver impeccable customer service.
We prefer candidates who have furniture warehouse experience and must be computer literate with the interest and capability to learn our business software.
RESPONSIBILITIES Unload 40' containers as they arrive, average 3x month Pull, pack and ship daily outgoing orders accurately 100% commitment to quality assurance in product inspection and packing of all items Receive and check in orders Restock incoming items as needed Participate in on-going physical inventory counts Occasionally move inventory between warehouse and showrooms in Atlanta Keep neat and orderly records of all incoming and outgoing orders Maintain a clean and organized workspace REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver's license with clean record Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; furniture warehouse work experience is preferred.
