Landscape Training Specialist (LTS) Job Summary The Landscape Training Specialist develops and trains standardized team and personalized associate landscape best practices.
LTS is regularly measured by client satisfaction, quality of work, turnover rates, cultural excellence, etc.
Nature of Work This position reports to a Landscape Manager or other appropriate supervisory or management position.
This position requires knowledge of all aspects of landscape field maintenance.
This position is expected to train associates of varying field maintenance positions.
This job requires physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement in order to perform the essential functions of the position.

Trains Landscape Supervisors on excellent customer service/communication, landscape maintenance best practices/safety, efficiency methods according to budgets, personnel training, etc.
Trains Landscape Field Personnel on excellent customer service/communication, landscape maintenance best practices/safety, company core values, consistency, dependability, etc.
Keeps a predetermined-rotating training schedule approved by Manager.
Documents topics covered as well as itinerary for subsequent training needs, dates, progress reports, etc.
Adjusts schedule and executes route in the event that a Supervisor is on vacation, sick or unable to run route for various reasons including termination or resignation.
Adjusts schedule in the event that a field team member is on vacation, sick or unable to work for various reasons including termination or resignation.
Operates all types of maintenance equipment including but not limited to riding mowers, walk behind mowers, push mowers, hedge trimmers, stick edgers, string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, pole pruners, manual sheers/hand pruners, etc.

May assist in coordination with other departments or outside contractors.
Performs regular vehicle/equipment inspections to ensure daily cleanliness and proper preventative maintenance and care.
Performs site audits on both residential and commercial job sites.
Must generate audit reports along with repair/upgrade notes and communicate information with Manager.
Minimum Qualification Requirements This position requires five years of high end landscape maintenance supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Special Working Conditions Working conditions include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environment, air contamination, extreme temperatures, intense noise, hazardous materials, or lifting or carrying heavy objects.
In addition, this position may be required to come into work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations (i.
e.
, may be subject to on-call responsibilities).
