Non - exempt Position Summary The Business Development Representative is an essential member of the WEI team.
As a member of the Business Development team, the BD Representative will work closely with active referring doctors by nurturing existing relationships and serving as a liaison to assure an easy and efficient referral process, while addressing questions or concerns.
In addition to providing excellent and expedient service to the Woolfson Eye Referring Doctor Network, this role is responsible for seeking out new referral sources, while tracking and increasing referrals in their respective territory.
This employee will work alongside the business development team to foster and grow lasting, quality relationships with our partnering physicians and optometrists.
This role will also work closely with clinical staff and call center teams to boost overall consult and surgery volume.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Builds new referral relationships while nurturing existing ones.
Educates referring doctor and local community of services and WEI physicians Serves as liaison between referral organization and practice Ensures seamless integration with clinic operations Increases new patient and surgical volume to the practice Creates & maintains weekly and monthly reports with co-management/referral volume statistics Tracks and monitors the progress of referrals and surgical volume Represents Woolfson Eye professionally while exhibiting a pleasant and helpful attitude with internal and external customers Provides concierge level service which is both knowledgeable and caring Coordinates care with the practices to track and ensure communication is clear between Woolfson Eye Institute and referring physicians Provides feedback to manager to ensure breakdowns are managed swiftly and promptly Enters pertinent data in CRM software Maintains account data up to date in CRM software Assist with lead and referral tracking as needed Work with accounting department to ensure billing agreement paperwork and payments are current Maintains a working knowledge of all Woolfson Eye Institute services and practices Maintains a solid track record of punctual and reliable attendance Assists Business Development Manager & Clinical Director with planning and promoting OD events and in publishing communications to ODs Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED required Associate's or bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration or related field preferred Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Ability to professionally interface with patients, physicians, and clinical staff while balancing multiple priorities Self-Motivated Attention to details Ability to travel as needed Proves to be a trustworthy and reliable team member while maintaining a positive attitude each day Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
