Summary:
This position serves as an administrative role responsible for accurate and proficient grant awards management, monitoring, analysis, and reporting in accordance with contracted grant requirements, performance, and compliance.
This position will assist with grant research, implementation, and reporting (qualitative and quantitative), as well as grant proposal preparation in support of grant writing activities.
This role will work closely with the programs and development teams to monitor the deliverables of private, public, and governmental grants.
The Development Specialistwill be responsible for grants budget management and analysis, as well as the evaluation and compilation of fiscal data related to grant awards management, maintenance, and compliance.
Additionally, this position will assist in the research and acquisition of future funding opportunities and engage in development and fundraising activities throughout the year.
Essential Job Functions and
Responsibilities:

Manages grant contract requirements and performance, as well as develops and executes strategies to optimize the grants administration process.

Manages and coordinates budget plans in cooperation with development, accounting, and programs staff.

Coordinates and collaborates with Director, Accounting to track grant expenses, manage change requests and conduct grant reimbursement and reporting activities.

Prepares monthly budget to actuals report for grants for review and discussion with management.

Leads and/or participates in working groups on grant management and execution activities and projects.

Works closely with program managers to ensure budget compliance and grant performance requirements are successfully met, including the collection and reporting of program metrics to grant funders.

Works in conjunction with the Manager, Development to provide technical assistance to staff as needed on grants management and reporting requirements.

Provides functional input of data into multiple database management systems, to include compliance for metrics tracking between multiple teams.

Monitors the facilitation of post-award grants (including Government funds) to ensure that budget and administrative policies, procedures, and agency requirements are being followed.

Provides oversight and guidance with administrative and/or budget changes during a given award grant period.

Supports grant prospect identification and research to determine organization-aligned funding opportunities.

Supports the Manager, Development with editing and proofreading grant proposals and other related documents, as well as assists in the preparation and packaging of both small and large-scale grant applications.

Works closely with staff in other departments and across divisions engaged in support of grant operations.

Prepares charts, graphs, and matrices for management as required for presentation purposes.

Writes narrative and contextual reports to funders and grantors to explain funds utilization; provides the story around reports, charts and graphs, etc.

Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, grantors, donors, program participants, etc.

Protects confidential organizational information.
Required
Experience:
Education:

Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred, or commensurate experience.
Experience:

Preferred experience in Grants, Accounting, and/or Project Coordination.

Demonstrated experience with business software applications e.
g.
, Excel, MS Project, Access, etc.

Proficiency in mathematical calculations and processing of financial information.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
