Strategic Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

1) Lead the North American Marketing team to develop a detailed understanding of the market, customers, and applications in order to drive the organizational goal of sustainable profitable growth
2) Determine and establish market strategies based on analysis of market, trends, and realizing market opportunities
3) Offer experience with product development and innovation of products
4) Lead the Innovation Team and process to identify opportunities and prioritize resources to align with the overall strategic goals of the company
5) Manage team of direct reports
6) Lead the short term (X+1) and long term (X+3) budgeting process to set goals and milestones to achieve corporate objectives
7) Lead all expansion projects in North America from development agreements, to justifying expansion CAPEX for growth, to recommendations for M&A activity
8) Manage and Lead the Marketing Communications efforts in NAM.
9) Travel is 50%
10)Bachelor Degree in Marketing, or related


Business Intelligence

Must prioritize research opportunities from stake holders. Manage Voice of the Customer exercises, Industry Analysis, Market segmentation, Value Curves, CRM and other marketing tools to understand and report on the industry to senior management

Strategic Budgeting

Responsible for the medium and long term direction of the company. Lead the budgeting process in conjunction with sales and present to senior management twice a year.

Lead the process to analyze opportunities by gathering the appropriate data and contacts. Prepare business cases to invest, divest, acquire or other strategic initiatives as seen fit. Present cases to Senior management.

Expansion projects

Lead the process to analyze opportunities by gathering the appropriate data and contacts. Prepare business cases to invest, divest, acquire or other strategic initiatives as seen fit. Present cases to Senior management.

Innovation process

Manage the innovation process to align with the strategic goals of the organization. Make sure we use the resources wisely and take necessary actions, patents or contracts, to preserve our developments work.

Marketing Communications

Manage the NAM marketing communications budget to support the strategic initiatives of the business and promote the strong name of Bekaert.

Corporate Liaison

Be the main contact in North America for Global Innovation, Global Marketing Managers, Corporation Communications, and Bekaert Technology Centre.

Must be a collaborator and team player willing with work with various stakeholders to drive towards the common good. Must be capable of managing a great number of projects with the skill to prioritize them corrected and dedicate resources as necessary.

Must be a self-starter and driver in order to insure the long term goals are not replaced by short term issues of the day.

Must have excellent communications and presentation skills with a high level of persuasion. Many of the proposals involved change which take people out of their comfort zone. Must steer the organization with data and logic towards long term goals.

Must have basic understanding of financial analysis and modeling.

Strong computer skills and an advanced knowledge of marketing tools and techniques.

Up to 50% travel necessary in order to build network of external experts and maintain internal stakeholders.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
