FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT - Title 32

As a Food Service Assistant, GS-1603-07, you will:
Performs work in direct support of the Food Services Program. Maintain pertinent regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources (people, money, equipment) in the food service program. Perform food service in support of state and Federal National Guard operations, training, readiness missions, natural disasters, and Homeland Defense/Defense Support of Civil Authorities (HLD/DSCA). Assists in the scheduling, developing, conducting, and coordinating training for food service personnel particularly in the areas of sanitation and management reporting. Provides technical advice and guidance to subordinate units on all food service matters. Orders supplies for food service and in other function areas. Tracks and records accountability and use of food service resources for mission support, such as food service automation; analytical data to support cost and effect of food service operations across the state. Annual Training support; activation/inactivation; mobilization/demobilization; contingency, natural disaster, and exercise planning. Tacks and assists in the monitoring of food service expenditures to insure compliance with financial policies and procedures and monitors Cash Meal Payment Books for all supported units. Assists in special requirements requests for support from commercial sources or other DA/DOD agencies and maintains personal contact to insure customer needs are met. Assist in the control and use of food cost and feeding strength summary reports.(4) Assists and performs assistance visits to supported units. Visits include inspections of units/activities to insure compliance with regulations and to identify systemic problems, review and assist with record keeping, requisitioning, management, sanitation, equipment serviceability, safety and food preparation. Assists with inspections of vendors who provide catered meals to insure compliance with Army guidelines. Assist in the administration of the state annual DA/NGB Phillip A. Connelly Awards Program to include conducting command competitions, establishing evaluation teams, and evaluates subordinate units with food service capabilities. Upon request, may serve as an evaluator for other units located in other states during next level competition. Perform other duties as assigned. Military Grades:

Experience:
Experience, education or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of, and skill in applying, the full range of principles, concepts, and methods of food services. Experience in written and oral communications. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training in applying a full range of principles, concepts, and methods of food services. Experience conducting food area inspections. Experience with the storage and stocking food service items. Experience tracking and records accountability and the use of food service resources for mission support. .

    $45,567 to $59,233 per year

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
