Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties governed in Air Force guidance on Procedures for Protecting Nonappropriated Fund Assets. Ensures proper identification is presented before disbursement is made. Collects cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, coupons, and other supporting documentation. Prepares and issues change from funds required, as well as harvesting vending machines. Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit in a timely manner. Ensures all monies are accounted for by balancing with the posting of funds placed in the safe before actual bank deposit. Prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Ensures the proper accounting for charge cards, sales slips, and guest checks and ensures they are included within the daily cashier's report. Prepares all accounting documents and forwards to HQ AFRC Accounting Office daily. May oversee and assess audit surprise cash accounts. May generate TDY order. May backup the timekeeper in SETS. Operates a NAF vehicle when conducting the duties of this position, such as taking daily deposits to the bank. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience:
Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have progressively responsible experience in clerical duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and, (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must have experience working in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Must be able to follow a file plan. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
